Did you know that everyone makes instant interpretations of you and your business before they ever enter your salon?

They see your salon promotions and instantly create a vivid picture of what your products or services are like. It’s true! Everyone judges everyone by what they see and hear.
Now I know that they shouldn’t judge you before they experience your services, BUT GUESS WHAT… THEY DO…THEY DO!

Haven’t you ever called another business seeking their services only to walk away from that phone call with a predisposition about their services? We all conjure up images and feelings about everyone we talk with, meet, or hear about.

When you send out your salon promotions to attract new clients your promotions speak loudly to your potential clients. The words, pictures, and how personal the message sounds are very important in persuading your prospects to pick up the phone and make an appointment.

BUT WAIT! That’s just step one. Your promotion worked brilliantly, but when your potential client picked up the phone and called your receptionist they received another message about you and your salon. They immediately drew a conclusion about your services just by speaking with your receptionist. Did she/he put them on hold, were they helpful, knowledgeable, and above all friendly and courteous?

BUT WAIT! That’s just step two. Your salon promotion was right on target, your receptionist was warm and inviting, but when they pranced into your salon looking for a relaxing and invigorating day what was their perception?

Does your salon sparkle? Does your staff treat your clients like friends and family? Does your salon radiate professionalism? Are you able to keep clients for life or until they move or pass away? This screams volumes on what your clients are actually experiencing when connecting with you and your services, and it will determine whether or not they return.

BUT WAIT! That’s just step three. Your salon promotion was a winner, your receptionist elegant, and your salon and staff impeccable, but did you make that lasting impression that will keep your new client coming back, and separate your salon from everyone else? Just by sending a simple personal looking “thank you” card with a come back soon coupon will seal the deal and make you the glamor queen that you are, and them… a client for life.
